Moissac, it is the place where two waterways meet : the canal and the river Tarn. Through a lock, users will be able to go from one to the other and enjoy different types of boating. In Montauban the same particularity exists.

Alan, plaisancier : 'It's the fist time that I go to the South West of France on a boat. It’s very pleasant"
Evelyne : "It is brillant to be in the middle of town, in a shaded environment, near the shopping facilities. The first Monday of the month, there is a food truck selling Fish & Chips"!

The River Tarn
The river Tarn is a solid partner for the economic development of the town. From the second half of the 18th century, the opening up of the cereals trade enabled the development of a significant mill industry. The great Moissac families built powerful mills and private mansions along the embankments.
The actual mill, overlooking the Tarn, once upon a time a 24 millstones mill, is now a 3 star hotel-restaurant.
On the river Tarn you can board the St André for a 45 minutes cruise with commentary, hire a pedalo, a canoe or a stand-up paddle, practice rowing on a 18 km stretch, try waterski or simply fishing. Above all, admire the spendid views from the bank of the Napoleon bridge and the Canal bridge…
